Commitment Overview

Under the Community Benefits Agreement (CBA) between Northwestern University and the City of Evanston, Northwestern has committed to contributing at least $1,000,000 annually in aggregate to Evanston nonprofit organizations, community groups, faith-based institutions, and schools.

Objectives and Goals

  • Support Community-Based Organizations: Provide financial support to local nonprofits, schools, and community groups to promote community well-being and strengthen Evanston's social fabric.
  • Enhance Social Services: Contribute to organizations that offer critical social services, including education, health, and economic support, to benefit residents of Evanston.
  • Promote Community Building: Support faith-based and community initiatives that work toward creating a sense of belonging and support within the Evanston community.
