Construction update from the Central Street Consortium

Work continues to progress on the below grade loading dock concrete and footings. Around the stadium, seating brackets and anchors are being installed, while student section bleachers and interior partitions continue. Meanwhile, stadia steps continue on newly set precast. On the east side, preparation work has commenced for the storm detention tank excavation activities. Exterior facade work continues to progress on all elevations of the stadium. And up above, the installation of the canopy roofing is approaching completion.

Workforce initiative connects Evanstonians to career opportunities

The Ryan Family Workforce Development Initiative provides $500,000 annually for programming and upskilling.

Also, as construction progresses, the project is doing more than delivering a world-class facility — it is investing in Evanston’s youth at a critical moment in their lives. Opportunities are available for paid carpentry apprenticeships.

Northwestern students can leave their creative design on the stadium

The University and the Ryan Family have launched a mural contest to find a unique piece of artwork that showcases students’ creativity and Purple Pride. Through March 1, all students are invited to submit an original design to enhance the student plaza outside of Ryan Field. Learn more.

‘Best place to watch football’

Stop by for office hours
A Central Street Consortium team member will be at the will-call office in Welsh-Ryan Arena at 2705 Ashland Ave., each Wednesday from 9 to 11 a.m. Neighbors are welcome to visit and chat about special programs, construction career opportunities and local businesses. CSC representatives also will be available each Wednesday from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the CSC Resource Center at 1910 Greenwood Ave.
