Ryan Field: A New Vision
June 12, 2025
Northwestern University and our construction partners, the Central Street Consortium, share construction updates, project highlights and more.

Construction update from the Central Street Consortium

Steel work continues on the southwest upper bowl. Canopy steel will be delivered soon. On the east side of the upper bowl, precast installation continues. Crews are pouring concrete decks on the main concourse and field level.

Also on the main concourse, plumbing crews are installing overhead pipe, with fire protection and HVAC to follow. Masonry walls and metal stud framing continue to go up as well. Spray fireproofing continues on both the main concourse and field level, where electrical and plumbing shallow underground work proceeds.

And, Chancellor Street storm sewer work will begin soon.
