Ryan Field: A New Vision
November 7, 2024
Northwestern University and our construction partners, the Central Street Consortium, share construction updates, project highlights and more.

Construction update from the Central Street Consortium

This month at the Ryan Field construction site, preparations are underway to bring in the first structural steel for the new stadium. The first structure is expected to go in by the end of the year.

In the meantime, crews continue installing underground utilities and concrete foundations throughout the new stadium site. A layer of stone now lies over the field area, as workers prepare for the future playing surface.

Basketball season brings fans to athletics campus

Men’s and women’s basketball seasons have officially begun, bringing excited fans to Northwestern’s athletics campus. Game attendees will primarily park in the west lot, near Ashland and Central, similar to previous years. As always, Evanston police will be present to help with traffic flow. Additional parking is available at the Endeavor Health Evanston Hospital, with shuttle buses running to and from Welsh-Ryan Arena.

View the men’s and women’s season schedules online, and purchase tickets through Northwestern Athletics.
