Ryan Field: A New Vision
October 10, 2025
Northwestern University and our construction partners, the Central Street Consortium, share construction updates, project highlights and more.

Construction update from the Central Street Consortium

Visible progress continues both inside and outside at the stadium. Crews are busy framing walls throughout the concourses, adding steel infill to the roof canopy and installing exterior sheathing around the stadium perimeter.

Over the next few weeks, the canopy will make its way around the entire stadium bowl, with crews finishing up by placing the roof decking atop the steel structure. Inside, work is moving steadily as teams install mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems throughout the newly framed spaces.

Outside the stadium, progress is just as steady. The mechanical yard has been backfilled to subgrade, and crews are preparing to place housekeeping pads in the next week. Underground electrical work in the west parking lot is now complete, and paving has been restored.
